Topic: Case Management Tool Rollout Training Design Plan | Year: 2025 | Tool: MS Word
Background:
The IT team developed and implemented a custom legal case management system to the department 2 years prior. The users are unhappy with the functionality and find it hard to use. This case management system does not track the information that pertains to a case that goes to the next phase of the legal process: litigation. The IT and training team were tasked with onboarding a separate case management system, TeamConnect, dedicated to cases that reach the litigation phase.
Throughout the process, I partnered with the vendor onboarding team, internal product team, user-base leadership, and test pilot users to ensure timeline, project delivery, and learning assets and outcomes were aligned.
Design Thinking:
Knowing the initial rollout would be labor intensive for the users, and the team was already frustrated from a previous system rollout, I made sure to incorporate Prosci’s ADKAR change management principles into the training design strategy.
Our priority on the initial rollout was to maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the system. The blended learning program resulted in a seamless adoption of the software product achieving the benchmark time-to-productivity goals and yielding high training satisfaction scores, improving from the previous rollout.
